My (mostly musical) 2012 summer..
I should probably post a proper update about the Amsterdam/Iceland trip that I took back in May where I surprised my sister on her birthday in Amsterdam and then explored Iceland and went to the Blue Lagoon, craters, waterfalls, geisers, black sand beaches... but above is a small sampling and below are many more pictures of the rest of the summer.. while I didn't post any pictures from the big baby slash bridal shower and wedding for now (which were both gorgeous and fun events with amazing friends), enjoy this massive picture post of other things I did this summer.I flew to Chicago for work and had beautiful views from the plane
I went to the Clearwater Festival up in Croton-on-Hudson and saw Josh Ritter, Bela Fleck, Arlo Guthrie & Family.. it was a beautiful day out and I ended up back at the beach at Croton Point Park on July 4th--with a nice firework dinner afterward in Tarrytown.
At a work event I hung out with Chuck Schumer (D-NY)
I went to Huntington, NY to see Joshua Radin in concert (Tristan Prettyman opened for him). And then went to the Newport Folk Festival which was fantastic. There I saw My Morning Jacket, Patty Griffin, Dawes, Iron & Wine and Arlo Guthrie & Family again.
Then I saw Roxette play at the Beacon Theater. This concert was ridiculously amazing. We had 2nd row seats and it was one big giant sing-along. RIDIC. The video below from the show is taken from the Roxette blog.. and i'm dancing in it. ha!
(at minute 1.53 or so see that short long haired girl jumping? Yeah? That's me! ha! There's another video on the blog as well..)and last but not least, earlier this week I saw Hugh Laurie at the Paramount Theater in Huntington, NY which was totally impressive as well.
How was your summer? Would you believe I still have more tickets and concerts coming up? So fun!

There is so much awesome in this post!!! I love, love, love Josh Ritter and everybody in Louisville knows MMJ one way or another. Plus, OMG, Roxette? Knockin' me back to the 90's!!! And I downloaded Hugh Laurie's cd earlier in the summer, that looks like it would've been a fun concert. All of the acts would've been fine on their own!! Kudos, nice taste, lady!
too bad i can't give you a billion eprops/likes for this post!
