That's horrible- but her expression was priceless.
I'm still laughing.. poor girl. bwahahaha. That would suck.
Ummmm WOW.
LOL
Yee-ouch. But this seems staged to me. (Why somebody would "stage" something like this, I dunno. I'm sure that I'm wrong. Well, I hope that I'm wrong.) Humor me here: When she discovers that she burned her hair off, she checks out the damage by looking at it in the camera lens. Not the mirror. I know that there are some fairly impressive technological advances with camera lenses, but I do not yet know of one that would out-do the reflective properties of a bathroom mirror. Especially if one were, say, horrified at the prospect of burning off a chunk of one's hair. She eventually checks out the mirror, but only for a brief second or two, and right at the end. #hairburnwasaninsidejob.
@Landlubber - Ha! I like your conspiracy theory Would it be foolish to suggest that perhaps the computer IS a mirror? I mean, if she's using a webcam she can see herself on the screen, right? I almost feel like the first time she looks away it is as if she's looking down the hall to check whether mom saw or something--could she get in trouble for this? My guess is she did a number of takes and the wand got waaaay hot and so this happened.
I sent this to my daughter after I saw it on Facebook. She and her co-workers watched it times and then Bill posted it on the salon's FB page. My curling iron heats to 425 degrees so I can easily see how she did it. 10 seconds is plenty of time!
I have one of those wand irons too, and they are HOT, and there is no WAY I would hold my hair in it for a count of 20! For me, it's maybe 5 and it's almost TOO curly. Yikes!
